The legs for my droids will consist of 4" X 1 3/4" rectangular tubing, with steel ankles and wood shoulders.
Above: Small cuts on the lower leg made by using a metal cutting blade in the table saw. The cut was very minor, less than 1/16", but looks great!

Below: Test fitting the leg and axle in the body, so far, so good. Now I need to decide how close the legs will rest to the body, cut the axle and build the coupling to join the axle halves together.
